Mesothelioma is a very rare and aggressive type of cancer that arises from mesothelial cells. These cells are located on the surface of various organs, such as the lung (pleura), heart (pericard), abdominal cavity (peritoneum) and testes. Despite the introduction of immunotherapies, therapy and prognosis have not significantly improved. Our research aims to understand the development of mesothelioma and the factors that influence its progression, as well as to optimize patient selection for specific therapies.
