Teddybär

The Cuddly Toy Clinic helps children to playfully overcome their fear of doctors, hospital visits and examinations. Accompanied by their own stuffed animals, they can look over the shoulders of the students at Med Uni Graz and actively participate in the treatment of their cuddly patients. Every year, numerous students get involved to offer young visitors an empathetic and educational experience. The Cuddly Toy Clinic is free of charge and is primarily aimed at children aged three to six.

The Cuddly Toy Clinic 2025 will take place on June 3, 4 and 5 from 2.00 to 4.30 pm.

Students

Cuddly Toy Clinic provides Med Uni Graz students the unique opportunity to uninhibitedly and playfully act out a hospital situation with children. All students who enjoy working with children are welcome. Shortly before the Cuddly Toy Clinic takes place, an introductory lecture is held during which the incoming students receive training on how to act their parts and deal with children. Each student receives instructions with all the important facts. Students of pharmacy, dentistry and nursing sciences are also involved in the implementation of this project.

Organization

The Cuddly Toy Clinic is organized by a team of Med Uni Graz students under the direction of Rebekka Meitz. The planning and realization of this project is possible due to the good cooperation between the Med Uni Graz, the Styrian Medical Association, the AFÖP (Academic Association of Austrian Pharmacists), the Chamber of Pharmacists, the Austrian Red Cross and the ÖH Med Graz. In addition, numerous sponsors and partner organizations gratefully support the Cuddly Toy Clinic.
