Internationalization & Research

International networks that are linked to the defined research priorities are important quality features of universities. The resulting outcomes, such as publications or follow-up projects, are characterized by above-average quality. For example, publications from our university that have been produced in collaboration with international partners are cited on average 2.5 times more frequently than publications without international participation.

The aim of the "Internationalization & Research" initiative is to promote and secure long-term academic exchange through more intensive international networking of researchers and to position our university's unique selling point more strongly globally.

How can this goal be achieved?

First, best practice models are identified and analyzed. Based on the organizational and content-related topics identified, processes are developed that offer our researchers step-by-step guidance. These are intended to facilitate and support the establishment of new collaborations.

How can researchers benefit from this?

We invite researchers from clinical and non-clinical fields to contact us directly when planning or extending new or existing international projects, such as EU third-party funded projects, the establishment of new consortia, postdoctoral programs or PhD training within the framework of joint/double degrees. We are happy to offer support and guidance with organizational and content-related questions right from the start.
