International networks that are linked to the defined research priorities are important quality features of universities. The resulting outcomes, such as publications or follow-up projects, are characterized by above-average quality. For example, publications from our university that have been produced in collaboration with international partners are cited on average 2.5 times more frequently than publications without international participation.
The aim of the "Internationalization & Research" initiative is to promote and secure long-term academic exchange through more intensive international networking of researchers and to position our university's unique selling point more strongly globally.
