The Austrian Academy of Science awards Mahmoud Abdellatif with the Elisabeth Lutz Award for Life Sciences

The Elisabeth Lutz Award – along with the Wilhelm Hartl Award and the Erwin Schrödinger Award – are the highest scientific honors of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Each award, endowed with EUR 15,000, is presented to researchers for outstanding achievements. VascHealth PI, Mahmoud Abdellatif, was honored with this prestigious award for 2025.

Best Poster Prize for Sophie Schmid

Sophie Schmid, VascHealth PhD student, was awarded the "Best Poster Prize" at the 16th Annual Meeting of the Austrian Society for Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology (ÖGMBT) in Graz.

Third VascHealth Retreat

The students presented their latest results and received valuable feedback during the third VascHealth retreat. General project progress and future plans were also discussed with VascHealth collaborators who participated in the Retreat.

Oskar Lapp Research Prize for Mahmoud Abdellatif

Mahmoud Abdellatif, VascHealth researcher, was awarded the prestigious Oskar Lapp Prize - endowed with 12,000 euros - at the 89th German Annual Meeting of the German Society of Cardiology - Cardiovascular Research e.V. in Mannheim.
