In four unaffiliated institutes, teaching and research are conducted according to the biopsychosocial model. The four institutes are concerned with evidence-based review of scientific problems in their respective disciplines. In addition to the basic research centers, the Diagnostic and Research Center for Molecular Biomedicine and the clinical research areas, the four unaffiliated institutes round out the Med Uni Graz scientific portfolio by focusing on the respective fields of work, yielding a diverse research portfolio.
