Team leader: Peter Regitnig
Focus: The focus of the research activities is practice-oriented and mainly deals with tumor-related questions with regard to the prediction and prognosis of different gynecological tumors and tumors of the breast. The clinical relevance is in the foreground when selecting and processing research questions. In recent years, NGS analysis has also found its way into the field of breast and gynecological tumors, and this method is at the center of a number of research questions. The (partial) automation of morphological evaluation for quantification using artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms is another field of activity.
Networking: The working group is connected with several clinical working groups in gynecological oncology and breast oncology and supports patient recruitment and translational projects in clinical studies, especially the ABCSG and AGO of the ÖGGG. Within the Med Uni Graz there is close contact to the working group of Ellen Heitzer (D&F Institute for Human Genetics) and to the working group of Andreas Holzinger (Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Documentation) and Heimo Müller (Med Uni Graz).
