Interview with Clinical Fellows at Med Uni Graz

Since 2021, Med Uni Graz has been offering well-trained doctors from all over the world the opportunity to expand and deepen their knowledge through practical hands-on experience at University Hospital Graz in the framework of a Clinical Fellowship.

This experience is complemented by a scientific focus, which is defined jointly between the University Hospital and the potential fellows in an individual research and training plan as part of the application process. The duration of the stay is a minimum of three and a maximum of twelve months; the decision to accept a Clinical Fellow always lies with the hosting department/division. Eleven fellows have since been welcomed and supervised at Med Uni Graz and University Hospital Graz; ten more fellows are currently at the University Hospital Graz. The International Office is responsible for the administration of the Clinical Fellowship and asked the fellows why they chose Med Uni Graz and University Hospital Graz, what their best experiences were and why they would recommend the Clinical Fellowship to others. In addition, three supervisors of Clinical Fellows - Andreas Leithner from the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma, Herbert Fluhr from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Daniel Scherr from the Division of Cardiology - talk about their experiences and explain the added value of the Clinical Fellowship from their point of view.

Med Uni Graz is pleased about this positive feedback and looks forward to offering such excellent clinical and scientific training to further international fellows.
