Das International Office lud von 8.-12. Mai 2023 34 Teilnehmer*innen von 23 Universitäten aus 16 verschiedenen Nationen aus Afrika, Asien, Europa, Nord- und Südamerika und Ozeanien zum Kennenlernen der Med Uni Graz sowie zu einem internationalen Austausch ein.
Die Mobilitäten wurden durch die Mobilitätsprogramme Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, Erasmus+ KA131 und die Förderung der Stadt Graz zur Internationalisierung der Med Uni Graz ermöglicht und hatten das Ziel, bestehende Kooperationen zu stärken und zukünftige Zusammenarbeit in den Bereichen internationale Mobilität und Forschung zu besprechen.
Die Gäste wurden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn von der Leiterin der OE Human Resources, Gudrun Posch-Frisee, im neu gestalteten Konferenzraum der Medizinischen Universität Graz begrüßt und willkommen geheißen. Zentraler Programmpunkt war die internationale Posterausstellung, die von der Vizerektorin für Finanzmanagement, Recht und Digitalisierung, Birgit Hochenegger-Stoirer, offiziell eröffnet wurde. Im Rahmen dieses Programmpunktes konnten die Teilnehmer*innen sich und die Angebote ihrer Heimatuniversitäten für Studierenden- und Personalmobilität vorstellen. Allgemeines Personal der Med Uni Graz, sowie Forschende und Lehrende wurden zu dieser Veranstaltung eingeladen, um sich über Möglichkeiten der Personalmobilität zu informieren und erste Kontakte zu Vertreter*innen von Partnerinstitutionen zu knüpfen.
An den übrigen Tagen standen Veranstaltungspunkte wie Besichtigungen des ZMF und der Bibliothek, sowie Führungen durch das Klinikgelände und den Campus und die Biobank am Programm. Besonders großes Interesse zeigten die Teilnehmer*innen an den Services für Studierende an der Med Uni Graz, die von Vertretern von ÖH und von Peer2Peer sowie von der Vizerektorin für Studium und Lehre, Sabine Vogl, vorgestellt wurden. Das kulturelle Programm brachte mit einer Stadtführung durch Graz, einem Besuch des Schlosses Eggenberg und einem Ausflug zur Zotter Schokoladenmanufaktur den Teilnehmer*innen die Steiermark näher.
Mit ihrem vielseitigen Programm bot die International Staff Week den Teilnehmer*innen sowie Mitarbeiter*innen der Med Uni Graz die Möglichkeit, sich international zu vernetzen und Anknüpfungspunkte für zukünftige Kooperationen zu bilden. Damit positionierte die Veranstaltung die Med Uni Graz als Plattform für internationale Kooperation und Zusammenarbeit.

Flashback: International Staff Week 2023
From May 8-12, 2023, the International Office invited 34 participants from 23 universities in 16 different countries from Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America and Oceania to get to know Med Uni Graz and to participate in an international exchange.
The mobilities were facilitated through the mobility programs Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, Erasmus+ KA131 and the funding of the City of Graz for the internationalization of Med Uni Graz. It was the aim of the event to strengthen existing partnerships and to discuss future collaborations in the fields of international mobility and research.
At the beginning of the event, the guests were officially welcomed by the Head of Human Resources, Gudrun Posch-Frisee, in the newly designed conference room of the Medical University of Graz. The main event of the program was the international poster exhibition, which was officially opened by the Vice Rector of Financial Management, Legal Matters and Digitalization, Birgit Hochenegger-Stoirer. During the event the participants presented themselves and the offers of their home universities for student and staff mobility. General staff of Med Uni Graz, as well as researchers and teachers were invited to get in contact with representatives of partner institutions.
In addition, the program consisted of tours of the ZMF and the library, as well as guided tours of the hospital grounds, the campus and the biobank. The participants were particularly interested in the services for students at Med Uni Graz, which were outlined by representatives of the Austrian students’ union and Peer2Peer as well as by the Vice Rector for Studies and Teaching, Sabine Vogl. The cultural program presented the participants with a glimpse of Styria, with a guided tour of Graz, a visit to Eggenberg Castle and an excursion to the Zotter chocolate factory.
The International Staff Week offered participants and Med Uni Graz staff the opportunity to network internationally and to discuss possible future cooperation. Thus, the event positioned Med Uni Graz as a platform for international cooperation and collaboration.
