Nach der Sommerpause findet der nächste BioTechMed-Graz Faculty Club am 20.09.2023 um 17 Uhr an der TU Graz, ausnahmsweise in der Steyrergasse 30, EG im Hörsaal BE01, statt.
Dr. Sarel Fleischman vom Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, hält eine Flagship Lecture zum Thema "Computational design of functional protein repertoires":
Understanding how protein sequence and structure determine function would unlock vast opportunities in basic and applied research. The lab of Dr. Fleishman is developing strategies that combine phylogenetic analysis and Rosetta atomistic calculations to design optimized variants of natural proteins. These strategies have been used by thousands of users worldwide to generate stable therapeutic enzymes, vaccine immunogens, highly active enzymes, and membrane proteins for a range of needs in basic and applied research.
