Eva Maria Binder

Eva Maria Binder is currently serving as Managing Director of DSM Austria and heading the ANH Translational Sciences Group at DSM, being responsible for the scientific innovation process across the life cycle of products as well as corresponding customer engagement. After obtaining her doctoral degree in biochemistry and biotechnology at the Vienna University of Technology she joined BIOMIN as R&D project manager for mycotoxin detoxification and analysis.
She started her career in innovation management as director of strategic research in 1996, focusing on the development of microbial and enzyme based feed additives and analysis of undesirable food and feed contaminants. In 2003 she was assigned Chief Scientific Officer of BIOMIN and ROMER Groups and moved to Singapore, where she established R&D process management tools and quality assurance measures. In 2005 she became Chief Research Officer at ERBER AG and was promoted to Vice President and Senior Vice President R&D in 2011 and 2017, respectively. Eva joined the ERBER Executive Board in 2017. From 2018 to 2019 she was also managing director of ERBER Future Business (EFB), the incubator entity of ERBER Group focusing on biological plant protection, veterinary vaccine development and alternative raw materials. Recently, ERBER Group changed their affiliations to DSM AT.
Eva holds a master degree in chemistry as well as in knowledge management, has been committee member of several national research funding organizations, and serves currently as deputy chair of the Scientific Board of the Christian Doppler Society. She has been Head of the Scientific Committee of the World Nutrition Forum since 2008 and edited several books on animal nutrition and mycotoxin management.

Dr. Christian Hill is a Founder and CEO of BRAVE Analytics GmbH and a project manager PostDoc at Gottfried Schatz Research Centre of MedUni Graz. He received his PhD title in 2018 at University of Graz in Physical chemistry. Recipient of the European Commission Horizon 2020 grant: NanoPAT, Best of the Biotech Business Plan Competition Austrian promotional bank in 2019, Fast forward Award from Styrian Business promotion Agency in 2017 and many more. His know-how and competence is broadly recognised as Dr. Hill is an expert at Austrian Standards International panel in Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials and often invited to the conferences and talks. In his personal statement, Dr. Hill wrote: "Creating teams with passion for innovation, translation, and a clear strategic focus. Working well with organizations, stakeholders, clients and people in general. Offering a broad educational background from science to business, applying sociological and systems thinking approaches with a passion to create."

Elisabeth M. Stiegler


Elisabeth M. Stiegler is a researcher and lecturer at the Institute of General Management and Organisation at Graz University of Technology. Her expertise in general management and entrepreneurship is complemented by a solid professional background in process and project management. In her dissertation, she investigates motives, modes and business models of cooperations between established companies and startups. In addition, Elisabeth is a business consultant and vice president on the board of the Academic Startup Accelerator Gründungsgarage. She is passionately committed to entrepreneurship education and supports students and researchers with business ideas on their way to founding.
