Carina Hasenöhrl

Carina Hasenöhrl started her scientific career with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, followed by a master’s degree in Biochemistry both at the Technical University of Graz. Thereafter, she joined the PhD Program Molecular Medicine of the Medical University of Graz, investigating the role of the cannabinoid receptor GPR55 in colon cancer. After she finished her PhD studies in 2017, Carina Hasenöhrl focused on the role of the endocannabinoid system in the tumor microenvironment during her post-doctoral studies at the Medical University of Graz. In 2019, she started as a Senior Scientist in the biotech start-up OncoOne, where she worked on the development of cancer therapeutics. Eventually she transitioned to Boehringer Ingelheim, where she started as Associate Principal Scientist and was promoted to Principal Scientist in recently.

Anna Katschnig started her scientific career with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, followed by a master’s degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology both at the University of Graz. Thereafter, she pursued her academic education by investigating molecular mechanisms in Ewing Sarcoma at the Children’s Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) in Vienna and finished her PhD studies in 2017. After working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at CCRI and the Ludwig-Boltzmann Institute of Cancer Research & Institute of Molecular Pathology in Vienna she eventually transitioned to Pfizer Oncology Austria in 2018. There she was employed as Medical Science Relation Manager Breast Cancer and hematology, as well as Medical Advisor for Biosimilars. In 2021, she used a sabbatical leave to train as ICF/ACTP Business and Leadership Coach in Munich. Since May 2022, Anna Katschnig is employed with AstraZeneca as a Diagnostics Manager Oncology and is responsible for advising about Biomarker testing in Oncology to collaborating with various brand teams, as well as raising awareness for Cancer in Austria.

Florian Kleinegger


Florian Kleinegger completed his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, followed by a Master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular medicine at the Technical University of Graz, additionally performing undergraduate internships at Infineon Technology and Boehringer Ingelheim. He continued with his doctoral studies in the field of oncology at the Medical University of Graz and was awarded the academic degree Dr. scient. med in 2018. Florian Kleinegger further worked as Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate at the Institute of Pathology and Core Facility for Preclinical Imaging, respectively. In 2019 he transitioned to the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety where he was performing compendial sterility tests of APIs and final dosage forms of pharmaceuticals and was promoted to a QC Lab Manager (General Microbiology and Hygiene) in 2021. In 2022, he completed the postgraduate course for Pharmaceutical Quality Management at the University of Vienna to fulfill the theoretical requirements to become a Qualified Person.

Anita Sahu-Osen Anita Sahu-Osen started her scientific career with a Master degree in Biotechnology at the Jiwaji University in India. Next, she worked as a researcher at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. in India until 2006 and joined the University of Montreal as a research scientist a year later. In 2010, she enrolled in the PhD program Metabolic and Cardiovascular Disease and at the same time, she worked as a research associate at the OMIC Center Graz at the Med Uni Graz. After finishing her PhD, she stayed in Graz and worked at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for lung vascular research as a research scientist for 3 years. Finally, in 2021, she started working as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at G. L. Pharma GmbH.
