Charlotte Ohonin is the CEO and founder of NORGANOID GmbH. The Graz-based start-up implements an advanced organ-on-chip device system that uses induced pluripotent stem cells to derive human organoids for drug tests.
Being the managing director, Charlotte Ohonin coordinates internal and collaborative projects. Her tasks include developing concepts for hardware and software prototypes, establishing tissue engineering applications, fundraising, business development, hiring, and training new colleagues. She has a background in Molecular Biology with over 10 years of experience in Stem Cell Research with publications on disease models and gene therapy. Mrs. Ohonin holds a patent, has received awards for her entrepreneurial and scientific work, and is currently a mentor in the Global Talent Mentoring program.

David Roula


David Roula started his academic education with a Bachelor in Biology at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. Thereafter, he moved to Graz to perform his Masters’s studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biomedicine at the University of Graz. David Roula continued as a graduate student within the PhD program “Molecular Fundamentals of Inflammation” at the Medical University of Graz. During this time, he got the chance to do a research stay abroad at the University of Oxford. Shortly after, he was awarded his PhD in 2020, he started to work as a Medical Writer at the MedMedia Verlag in Vienna.

Philipp Wurm is currently a Medical Advisor in Oncology at the MSD Austria. He has a background in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from TU Graz and University of Graz. In 2018, he attained a PhD from Medical University of Graz in Molecular Fundamentals of Inflammation. During this time he was also a visiting scientist at University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart at the department of Microbiome and Applied Bioinformatics. After his PhD studies, he got himself several postdoc position with affiliations with CBmed (Center for Biomarker Research Graz), Medical University of Graz, and University of Graz until the end of 2021, where he decided to delve into a different career as a Medical Advisor.
